Cookie policy

This English translation is provided for convenience. Only the French version is legally binding.
CheckOps uses no advertising cookies, no social network cookies and no third-party trackers. Only two uses, exempt from prior consent: cookies strictly necessary for the service, and audience measurement of our public website.
Article 1 · Strictly necessary cookies
They sign you in and remember your choices. Without them, the customer area does not work. They are never read by a third party.
| Cookie | Lifetime | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
checkops_session | Lifetime of the sign-in token | Authentication to the customer area |
checkops_refresh | 30 days at most | Renew the session without typing the password again |
checkops_org | Session | Selected organisation (multi-customer accounts) |
checkops-lang | 1 year | Interface language |
Article 2 · Local storage
Your browser keeps your display preferences: light or dark theme (checkops-theme) and language (checkops-lang). These values are never sent to our servers.
Article 3 · Audience measurement (Matomo)
The audience of the public website is measured with Matomo, self-hosted by ClearCloud on matomo.clearcloud.fr, in France. No data is passed to a third party and measurement is done for our own account only, without cross-referencing with any other processing.
Sign-up source: on your first visit coming from a campaign link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign parameters) or from another website, the checkops_src cookie (30 days, set by checkops.eu only) keeps these parameters and the name of the referring website, never the exact page. It is only read if you create an organisation: the source is then stored with the organisation so that we can count our sign-ups per channel, and the cookie is deleted. No data is passed to a third party.
Article 4 · No "accept / refuse" banner
Consent is not required for strictly necessary cookies or for audience measurement limited to our own website (CNIL deliberation no. 2020-091). If we ever added a tracker outside these two cases, a real consent request would be put in place before anything is stored.
Article 5 · Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in. Questions: contact@checkops.eu.
